Great Place to work and Investors in People

Historically and wherever we operate we strive to create a work environment where fairness, pride, and camaraderie are at the forefront of our values.

Our focus on employee satisfaction is reflected in the results of the Great Place to Work survey, where 95% of our employees feel they are treated fairly, 93% feel comfortable being themselves, and 90% are proud to work for us. Our journey towards creating a great workplace, called the GPTW-Project, is based on 30 years of research by Great Place to Work, which found that employees experience a great workplace when they trust their management, have pride in their work, and feel camaraderie with their colleagues.

What makes a great place to work?

We believe a great workplace is one where employees work together as a team in a trusting environment to achieve organisational objectives. Great Place to Work has identified nine areas where leaders and managers can have the greatest impact on building trust: Caring, Developing, Thanking, Listening, Speaking, Inspiring, Sharing, Celebrating, and Hiring. We embrace the Kaizen philosophy to continuously improve staff development and leadership skills, and we have implemented a performance management system to focus on continuous improvement.

We invest in our people

As part of our commitment to investing in our staff, we regularly conduct 360 degree feedback surveys and engagement surveys. The data produced by this interaction has proved invaluable in forming our people management strategy. It highlights strengths and areas for improvement, allowing us to plan the best way to develop our people to become the best they can be.

In addition since 2007 our Gibraltar based operations received the Investors in People accreditation, reaching Platinum award in 2022 which is the ultimate status achieved by only 2% of the participating Companies.

We invest in our leadership and make it a strength, with our managers serving as role models for our vision and values. We also invite outside speakers for management seminars to explore topics such as inspirational leadership, innovation, and courageous conversations. The focus on staff development and continuous improvement has had a positive impact on our culture and success, with a strong emphasis on trust, respect, and leadership capabilities within the organisation.

Our vision is to become the 'most admired company in the industry', and we carefully monitor the constant improvement of the teams of their professional fulfilment at Bassadone Group with my management team. Development is a top corporate objective I am personally engaged in, as this is a critical success factor for our company and its future.
